First I set up Ken with my paper trimmer and handed him a big stack of 8-1/2 x 11 card stock, and had him cut them all in half, while I sat and scored all the bases. We then folded the bases together, and made sure we had 75 cut. Next I gave Ken all the colored cardstock and the sizes I wanted them cut. While Ken was cutting away I started the punching of the bases. It only took 3 punches per base to complete the punched look I wanted. Needless to say after over 230 punches, my hands were hurting and I was beginning to doubt we would get the cards done by Saturday. The next night I set Ken up with my Cuttlebug and had him embossing the Black cardstock while I sat and stamped and heat embossed the white card stock. Ken got all 75 pieces done in the time it took me to do 15 of the stamped, heat embossed pieces. NO FAIR!!!! At this point we were to a place, where from here on out it was just me and my stamps working on the cards. For the next 2 nights I spent time alternating between stamping, heat embossing and assembling the cards. I managed to get all cards assembled by Thursday night I was quite impressed, and thanks to my thumb splint and lots of Aleve my hands weren't even hurting that bad. On Friday I decided that I was a glutton for punishment and started stamping each individual envelope. I have no clue what I was thinking but I sat there and stamped all 75 envelope 3 times each. I finished the envelopes up Saturday morning before the wedding and then managed to make 2 cards for the couple and to tie the cards up with ribbon in piles of 25 all before we had to leave at 2pm. Well now that you have read all this here is all the cards I made for Heather and Will Hawkins.
