Now for my weekly Inspired Stamps Design Team Post.  This week I have been taking advantage of the fact that it has been just too hot to do anything outside and have been doing deep cleaning in my scrapbook room. In doing so, I came across the directions for a 3-D flower card that I have been wanting to try.  So in between cleaning and having to move around everything in the middle of the floor, I came up with this.
I created this card using Inspired Stamps More Perfect Sentiments  and Made By stamp sets.  This card is designed so it can be squashed flat to fit into an envelope.  I had a blast creating this card and I hope you are inspired by it.

Materials used: Inspired Stamps More Perfect Sentiments, Made By (heart)
CTMH Supplies - You & Me Paper Pack, Colonial White Cardstock, Mocha Pearls
Creme Brulee, Sorbet, and Chocolate Inks
Green cardstock, Yellow, and Orange paper for flowers DCVW
Chocolate  Off White Ribbon from my stash
Tag was from George & Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge
Hearts Border Fiskars Paper Punch

We are concentrating on the scripture stamps this week. Above is my finished altered item, The stamp set I used for this project is Inspired Stamps John 14:6.  I wanted my focus to be the scripture so I kept the design relatively simple.  I plan on adding my Christmas group shot of the boys to the left side of the frame when I can get it printed.  This will eventually find it's way home on my desk at work.

Here is a close up of the Butterflies, showing them with their wings slightly lifted off the page to give you the feeling that they are flying.

Inspired Stamps Designers Choice Card

For this weeks Inspired Stamps Design Team we got to choose our project.  So with that in mind I set out thinking what kind of card to make. First I went through my stash of unused card class material, and chose a criss-cross pocket card.   I then went through my basket of cards to see what I needed.  I realized I was low on baby cards and since my Dad's side of the family had 3 more babies due this year (we already had 2 boys in Feb & April), I figured I better get some cards ready for when they arrive.  Here is the card I came up with.

I made this little boy card using another one of Inspired Stamps His Little Ones: Boy Praying, I am getting addicted to playing with these cute little guys.  I have several of them on my wish list and am thinking I just might have to get them all, as they are all adorable and great for use on cards.  I love paper piecing these together, and am thinking of experimenting with coloring these guys soon (I am still a little doubtful on my coloring abilities).  The sentiment is from More Perfect Sentiments again, I seem to be reaching for this stamp set the most lately.  The little stars on the boy's pj's are from the Made By Stamp Set.

This is the card with the insert pulled out.  I stamped the sentiment at the top of the card and plan on attaching a gift card on the lower half of the card.  Of course I made this a boy card and since none of the parents want to know what they are having I am not sure I will need this (and with my luck they will have all girls and I will have to make new ones.)

Here is a close up of the paper pieced Boy Praying.

Inspired Stamps Patriotic Card

Hope Everyone had a fabulous holiday weekend filled with fireworks and cookouts.  I know our weekend was great.

This weeks theme for the Inspired Stamps Design Team is Patriotic.  I created a card I plan on sending to my favorite active Marine, Tyler.  This week with the holiday weekend the Inspired Stamps Design Team day snuck up on me, so I didn't have as much time to play with it as I normally do.  So this card is relatively simple in design, (I ain't quite satisfied with it and I might just have to go back and redo it later, I am my worst critic).

For this card I used the His Little Ones - Soldier With Flag, I love this little guy, he is so cute and adorable, not to mention really fun to play with.  On my card I paper pieced the soldier, taking time to cut out each individual piece from colored cardstock, and then placed on the card using foam tape. For the background I used a homemade version of glimmer mist, one in a blue shade and another clear version.  I took chipboard stars and placed them on my background cardstock and then sprayed over them with the blue glimmer mist, and on the cranberry I repeated the above step and sprayed it with the clear glimmer mist.  This added a little sparkle to my background paper.  The "Hi" Sentiment is from More Perfect Sentiments.  The star is a chipboard piece inked blue then sprayed with the blue glimmer mist to give it the sparkle.  In Real life this card has a really pretty glimmer to it, but the picture doesn't do it justice.

This is a close up of the soldier and glimmer background.
For more Inspired Stamps inspiration please visit my fellow Design Team members blogs listed on in the left side bar of my blog.  Thanks and I hope you enjoyed my card, until next week May God Bless you all.

Jenn
