My Favorite Inspired Stamps

This week for our Inspired Stamps Design team post Antoinette has given us the impossible task of creating our design using our favorite Inspired Stamps set.

Impossible you ask??

Well it is impossible when you you have a hard time choosing what stamps to use each week cause you love them all.  I love Inspired Stamps they are so wonderful to play with and the scriptures, along with His Little Ones, and the Sentiments are so easy to work with.

I chose to use His Plans for You  for my favorite.  Right now I am going through some rough times, (divorce, financial difficulties) through it all 2 of the verses on this set have been my go to verses in times of despair.  Proverbs 3:5-7 and Jeremiah 29:11.

My project this week I chose to create an altered canvas showcasing Proverbs 3:5-7, this canvas will probably be hung in my kitchen where I can constantly be reminded of God's plan's for the boys and I.

New Releases over at Inspired Stamps

Today starting at Noon (ET) over at Inspired Stamps Antoinette has some wonderful newly released stamps for sale.  If you have been following the Inspired Stamps blog all week you have been getting sneak peaks of the new stamps sets.

The New Stamp Set I am showing off is "Blessed Little Christmas", this set has lots of potential and I wish my scrap room was not so tore up so I could have had more time to play.  Christmas time is my favorite time of year and creating these cards helped bring that feeling into the house in mid-August.

Here are close ups of each item
This one is my favorite, and more than likely will be my family Christmas card this year
it seems like I have been leaning toward the non-traditional
blues for my Christmas cards

Same style as the first one, only using the traditional Christmas colors.

I am always needing gift Tags for my packages and using up
my scraps to create these cute little tags works well.
Materials Used:  Inspired Stamps "Blessed Little Christmas"
Blue card:

The Scrapbook Room is slowly Coming Together

So far my cleaning of the scrapbook room has become a major project.  The room has been tore apart for most of the month with it looking like this for at least a week.

For several days you couldn't hardly move in the room without almost knocking over something..  Well it is slowly coming together and I have actually pulled everything from the entry way wall and the 2 small walls by my work area and the back wall, and I painted them.  Boy did that totally change the look and feel of the room.  Now with the walls by my work area painted I am slowly going through my stuff and putting all my stuff in new homes.  The room is still slightly disastrous, but at least now I can walk across the room without tripping.

Here is a sneak peak at what freshly painted walls look like.

This is the wall I look at when working at my table.  The paint I used was a light shade of juniper and is a very comforting green.  The Saying and Butterflies are removable stickers from the dollar store, which are very easy to put on and I am totally loving.   i am actually thinking of going to get more butterflies for around the room.  That glare you see on the right hand side of the picture, is actually the light reflecting off the CTMH Prisma glitter I blew onto the wall using my heat gun (hair dryer would work also) while the paint was still wet.  I love this effect, I now have glitter on 2 of the walls by my work table and am refreshed and inspired by the warm glittery feel I get every time I set down.

Well better get back to cleaning the rest of the room so I can post the complete scrapbook room renovations on here soon.

Thanks

Jenn

Paper Flowers

You might have noticed that my artwork has been focusing on handmade flowers here lately.  A Fellow Consultant Connie MacFarlane, from Close To My Heart has been posting lots of paper and ribbon flower tutorials on her blog Paper Pleats and Ribbon Roses, lately and I of course have been watching them and doing my best to recreate her artwork.  In the process I have become addicted to making my own flowers, and of course have been having to focus my projects on using up all my floral creations.   Here are a couple of my recent flower creations, with links to Connie's tutorials I used to create them.

This is based on Connie's 8 petal flower/

These Daffodils are based on Connie's Florida Clematis,
I just played with them and layered them until I came up with my own version.

The Tutorials for these flowers can be found here .  After you are done watching Connie's video's you might want to browse around her blog as she has several other tutorials on how to make Ribbon Roses and other fun items on her blog.

Enjoy!!
